Ghana To Represent West Africa At Black Arts Festival

ACCRA, GHANA - Ghana has been chosen to represent West Africa at this year’s National Black Arts Festival (NBAF) to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, in the USA, from July 14 to 23.

Ghana’s contingent to the festival will include about 120 exhibitors and vendors of cultural and indigenous artifacts and art pieces.

The festival, one of the premier cultural events held in the United States every year, attracts audiences of all ages and cultural backgrounds with the aim of linking, inspiring and transforming people through high quality artistic presentations.

A New Beauty Ambassador On The Way

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - The new Mr South Africa 2006 will be announced at the Protea Hotel Mongena Game Lodge near Pretoria on Friday 27. The pageant is in its 15th year and has attracted many handsome South African men countrywide but only 15 finalists were short listed for this year.

The winner will have to work closely with wildlife conservation groups as an ambassador. He will be working work closely with the wildlife education organizations from underprivileged regions throughout the country. Gert Claasen, the new pageant’s PR from Kaosela said “everything is running 100 percent on schedule”.
